***Update: So far, so good!! Matthew is feeling some better and Mark is still healthy!!!
Hi Friends!
Please pray!
Our youngest son was diagnosed with Influenza B this morning.
Our greatest concern is for my husband Mark - being immunosuppressed because of his kidney transplant - he is highly susceptible to any illness - and has no ability to fight off anything.
We are praying that God heals Matthew and keeps Mark healthy.
I have been sick for a week and with my many jobs am praying to regain my strength and health also.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and words of encouragment.

Question Of The Week
Where Did You Find Joy Today?
Today I found joy in a quiet walk (hike) on South Mountain,
Listening to the birds sing their morning praises to the Lord
and Watching the sun rise over the hills.
Today I found joy in watching my son walk out the door in his
riding clothes for another lesson.
Today I found joy in seeing my husband breathe and thanking
God he's around for another day.
Today I found joy in the cool air coming through my bedroom
window and listening to the water fall from the pool.
Today I found joy in the scale number being a little lower.
Today I found joy in being able to jog during my hike.
Today I found joy in knowing I have a job.
Today I found joy in the belief that no matter what the
world news tells us: God is still on the throne, Jesus is
still King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and the Holy Spirit
will continue to guide my days.
Today I found joy in life itself.
All that joy and it's only 7:30 AM.
Just think of how much more joy I will find today!
What about you?

Re-Run...With A New Ending!
The social worker said:
"Don't get your hopes up ~ he probably won't live"
But God...Had Another Plan!
The doctors all said:
"He's going to die within a year"
But God...Had Another Plan!
The social worker said:
"The courts want him back with his birth family"
But God...Had Another Plan!
Another doctor said:
"He's deaf, blind and paralyzed"
But God...Had Another Plan!
Many people said:
"Let's place him in an institution until he dies"
But God...Had Another Plan!
The therapist said:
"He will never walk"
But God...Had Another Plan!
A family member said:
"I'll never love him"
But God...Had Another Plan!

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!!
Do you ever tire of your own excuses?
When I was growing up we had a saying around our house:
"Get on the Ball or Get on the Bus".
Have you ever heard that?
In our home it meant, get up and do something or sit down and be quiet!! Whatever you do - don't complain and don't give excuses.
The Bible teaches us in James 5:12 to "Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned." In this section it is speaking about not taking an oath or swearing by heaven or by earth. I also believe it means that when we make a commitment to do something we must follow through.
Last week I posed a question to my readers and received several very wonderful comments. I thank each of you for taking the time to pray and respond.
I want you to know that I didn't really mean that I don't hear God, I was just more or less curious about how YOU hear from God. But several valid points where made and I have spent much time in prayer concerning a decision I must make.
I am happy to report that I have made a decision and it goes back to the scripture I wrote above.
Let my Yes be Yes!!
Last November I started a new business which I was very excited about. But then 'life happened', 'my husband got laid off work', 'I began working another job', 'which means I now work 3 jobs', 'I am a wife of an ill husband', 'I am a mom on a disabled child', 'I am the mom of a child who is facing legal issues', 'I am a nana', 'a sister', 'a daughter', 'I teach a Bible Study', 'excuse, excuse, excuse'. I could go on and on with reasons WHY I have not devoted any time to my new and now floundering business.
This week as I read your responses and sought after the Lord for a decision on what to do with the business - He clearly brought me to the verse above.
"My child, you made a commitment and must fulfill the promise."
When I began my business I committed to a full year of honest effort. I have fail miserably at that and now I must confess and turn from my failings. Actually, I must Get On The Ball and Get Off The Bus!!!
So, tomorrow morning I will rise and shine dark and early to a new day and a new opportunity to fulfill my commitment. My year begins in earnest tomorrow with new hope and restored excitement for how this opportunity will bless my family and those around me.
God's Word also teaches me this:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:23-23
I rejoice in His answers AND His Word!!!
I am also excited to announce that I am a distributor with Market America and host a vast line of health and nutrition products along with the best Business Model you will find in the world. In today's economy many people are without jobs and need streams of income. I am happy to be able to share what I am learning about the newest stream of income into my home!
Thank you for teaching me to wait upon the Lord and for praying for me while I sought His direction. I just love learning while He Speaks!!!!

Did I Forget To Share?
I almost forgot to share a very special blessing with you.
I am working on counting my blessings instead of
fussing about my woes!
Last week my employer gave my husband and I
tickets to see the musical CATS!
AND...she even gave me the night off
from cleaning the office.
The musical was at ASU Gammage Auditorium.
It was Fabulous!
If you like musicals and ever have the opportunity
to go see it - GO - it is worth it!
Thank you MF for a Blessing we will never forget!
We could not take cameras' in the auditorium
so we only got pictures outside.
Oh well, it was still a great night.

Question of the Week!
Hi Girlfriends,
Tonight I have a question for you.
I am facing a life changing decision that could potentially affect every aspect of my life along with my families lives and several friends lives.
It is not sinful or bad, it is just something I have been praying about since November and I really need to come to a decision.
Have you ever been in that place? You must make a decision and you just can't seem to hear God. -OR- You have heard God and you don't really like what HE is saying? You know the place I am talking about.
Here is my double question of the week:
How do you know for sure when God has really spoken to you?
How does He confirm His answers in your spirit?
If you'd rather email you can send it here: cain4him@him@hotmail.com

Because Of The Cross!
Check out Becoming Me to read beautifully written and inspiring stories about The Cross.
Today my 'Because Of The Cross" post is simple because the cross, however profound and intense, is really simple.
Today my 'Because Of The Cross" post is simple because the cross, however profound and intense, is really simple.
Because of the Cross
My sin revealed,
His forgiveness extended.
Because of the Cross
Humility,
On my bended knees.
Because of the Cross
Unexplainable Peace,
In the midst of tragedy.
Because of the Cross
Inexpressible Joy,
In the face of sorrow.
Because of the Cross
Amazing Grace,
Undeserved.
Because of the Cross
Love,
Full and Complete.
Because of the Cross
Tears,
Freely flowing in Gratefulness.
Because of the Cross
Glory,
HIS.
Because of the Cross
Eternity
With HIM!!!
