Doing a bit of fluffing

Hi Friends,

Well, it's been raining in Arizona for 3 days

I decided I'd do a bit of fluffing in my bedroom

Since I can't work outside much this weekend

All fluff really means today is 

Cleaning :)

 

This dresser belonged to my mom's parents

I love it

Yet, I am almost ready to paint it

(Don't faint mom)

I bought this piece at a flea market

Many years ago

It's gong to get some paint as well

 

One of my favorite little pieces

 

This desk belonged to my hubby's dad

It did get some paint several years ago

But I'm not happy with the finished product

So, it may get a make over soon too

 

When I received this hand made basket

From my secret Santa this year

I decided to add a bit of grey to my bedroom

I love this basket and keep my remotes and what not in it

 

Although this guy is my son's doggie

He follows me everywhere

 

I bought new sheets (pewter)

Love adding the new color 

My bed is my comfort zone

I recently purchased a new mattress

And a really fluffy thick cover for it

Then I found this sweet white quilt on a super sale

And even though it's a twin

I loved adding it to the foot of my bed

I took the red/white comforter off and

Put the black/white one back on for a lighter look

Since most of my furniture is very dark

I needed to let go of some of the red

I do hope to paint all of my bedroom furniture this spring

The next two photos are the reality of my bed

 

I LOVE Pillows

And have 8 of them on my bed at all times

Yes, I even sleep with them

It makes me feel safe

 

I think I need some new pillowcases

So they match a little better

Don't you???

Well, that's my little fluff for the day

Tomorrow the kids/grands are coming to watch the Big Game

My DIL is from Washington and a Sea-Hawks fan

Sshhhhh....Don't tell her

I'm rooting for NE

What I found on my Walk

Hi Friends,

As you will be able to tell

From these photo's

I don't live in the cold mountains

Or Snowy areas around the country

Nope, I live in the desert southwest

Our city is very busy this week

We have a Major Golf Tournament going on 

A Super Bowl getting ready to happen

Along with a week of partying

And many celebs walking about

Yep, it's busy around these parts

And the weather, well it's great

Albeit a bit drizzly 

But, I did take a short walk today

And look what I found

Downsizing Update {16 weeks}

Hi Friends

I've been fairly delayed on regular blog posts

I suppose January is a time to reorganize

And reevaluate life

I've stayed busy but haven't kept up with blogging

As I would have liked to

It's been 16 weeks since I started the NutriSystem Program

Here is my latest update

40.8 pounds

20 inches

2 dress sizes

Many would say that is GREAT progress

However, I'm a bit discouraged

As this past 4 weeks, I only lost 5 pounds

I know it gets harder as you go along

I just have 44.2 more pounds to go

And I have begun to struggle somewhat

This is the pile of clothes that I took out of my bedroom

Over the past couple of weeks

They are going to be donated tomorrow

I don't want the temptation to pull me from my focus

I'll keep plugging away at it

I've added exercise and am attempting to 

Tone up the 'flappy' arms and legs :)

I'm praying that the monthly expense doesn't 

Hinder me from reaching my goal

Anyway,

That's the update on my downsizing for now

I'll be back with a new update 

In 4 weeks

Now,

Our weather has been absolutely gorgeous

So, we have totally enjoyed

Photo Shoot

It's possible I had a bit of a let down

After the Holiday season

I worked so hard at being okay during the season

That the blues kind of took over after it was all over

I've spent the past 43 hours in bed sick

But was able to get up, shower and go do a photo shoot

For my sister and her family

Now, after 4 hours of being up

I'm in my jammies and ready to hit the bed again

 Need to rest up for the work week

Anyway,

I was so happy to be able to get outside

And enjoy this beautiful fall like weather

My sister and her hubby have been married for 38 years

They have twin boys and a daughter

All of whom are married

They also have 6 grandchildren

And, they are all in town this week

So...

I promised I'd do a photo shoot

All of these photos are straight out of the camera 

With no editing

But I wanted to blog a bit

So you get to see the SOOC shots

I just love these kiddos so much

 

Even though they only see each other once a year or so

They love each other and get along so well

 

Can't believe we got E up the tree

 

These kiddos are from the east coast

Sure do miss them

And so happy to see them this week

 

Praying they enjoy many memory making moments 

While they are together this week

Sure did have fun
