Hi Friends,
Well, although I never was able to figure out why
My camera will not download pictures to my computer
My son told me that since I purchased a new PC last week
It probably had a card reader installed
YES, it did
So, I've learned something new
How to use a card reader :)
Thank you for your suggestions!
And now
Because it's flag day
I thought I'd share my 3 K's art projects from Thursday
And a few little decorations around the yard
Each week of the summer I try to plan an art project for the girls
This past Thursday we had a Patriotic theme
I set out a bunch of items and let the girls create

And a few little decorations around the yard
Each week of the summer I try to plan an art project for the girls
This past Thursday we had a Patriotic theme
I set out a bunch of items and let the girls create
My K~Bug made a pencil holder for her desk
She also had her braces put on Monday
I've never seen her Smile so much
She is SO happy to have them on
Love her to pieces
K~Bel loved cutting and gluing
She used many beads
Then wrote her name and drew a little
She is such a joy
I wasn't sure K~Baby was going to get to create this time
I think spending time in the pool
Wore her out
But she woke up just in time to have a bit of fun
She wanted hers to look like K~Bug's
She did her own cutting and gluing
She's is such a little Joy
I know that they had so much fun
Not sure what this next Thursday holds
But I'm sure it will include swimming
I found these cute little pinwheels the other day
I placed them in a backyard planter
The girls will probably take them home
But they look nice for today
Added a Patriotic themed cross and the word America
To my back door
It's just enough to add some color
And help up to remember and be grateful for our Country
And our Flag
This flag is on the front walkway
It will need to either be painted or replaced next year
The heat and sun sure do a number on painted art
My wreath will have to be replaced next year as well
I noticed when I put it up
That the ribbon and burlap are very brittle
It won't make it another year
So, I'm enjoying it this year
And just because:
Today was actually the First day I have put a
Swimsuit on this season
I hadn't been in the pool yet
I just sat on the side the other day
When the girls were in
I bought a new swimsuit last year
Never wore it because it was too tight
Put it on today and it's too big
Hmmm...I like that problem
Anyway, I totally enjoyed swimming
And doing laps and relaxing in my little piece of Paradise
And Just in case you were wondering:

In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on that day in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The United States Army also celebrates the Army Birthday on this date; Congress adopted "the American continental army" after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775.
May you Enjoy the Week Ahead
May you Find JOY in something Simple!
So glad you figured out something on your computer. Those girls are precious. Just think of the memories you are making with them. Love all of your red, white and blue pieces.

ReplyDeleteDear Cindy. You are such a fun and wonderful grandma. I wish I had those days to relive over. So much fun. Funny, usually the kids won't smile until they take them off. Good for her. Love your ribbon wreath and keep enjoying that lovely pool. I bet you are glad you have it this time of year and that must make you an even more popular grandma..Happy Monday..Judy
ReplyDeleteHi sweet friend, Thank you for always leaving me such touching comments and blessing me when you visit. I love all your crafts-especially the cross with America on it. Great job having your suit getting too big-what to go girl!!!! I think you should go out and get a new one. The weather here has been nice, but not hot so I overpacked. Looking forward to getting home and back to the pool with our grands.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Hugs, Noreen
Love all your decorations! And your grand kids are so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you losing weight! I am working on that myself!
Hugs,
Debbie
Cindy, what fun! And sharing it with the GRAND! You can carry this theme on over into July. I'll have to store some of these ideas away when my babies get older. My oldest 3 1/2 year old is pitching fits and too busy to do hands on things unless it's playing trains with Thomas, so we play trains and build tracks and tear down tracks and build them again.
