Hello Sweet Friends
Although I have been working very hard
During this past year to
Move forward with my life
And allow the past to rest
Today is just one of those days
That pull on my heart strings
And make me pause to remember
30 years of
Live, Love, Laugh
Today would have been our 35th
Wedding Anniversary
And I miss him as much today
As the day he moved up to heaven
Our favorite saying was
Through it all: FAITH
No matter what we faced
(And it was a lot)
We had Faith to believe
God would see us through
He Did
And...He Still Does
Give your people
Just one more hug
One more kiss
One more time to say I Love You
One more Smile to brighten their day
Today my heart remembers
And is grateful for the years we did have
Blessings Abound
This is news to me! I'm so sorry. I know his memory is with you every single day, but these special dates are sweet times to stop and remember, reflect, and remind others exactly what you have reminded us. The Lord be with you and bless you today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Nonnie, said it so well. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, Cindy. I have often said it is a good thing we can't see the future or we would never have the strength to move forward. Memories like this are so precious. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDear sweet Cindy! Happy 35th! Your marriage, your love and life together is still something to celebrate.

Cindy, Special hugs to you today. I could see in the picture how close you and your husband were. You are right, let's hug, kiss and tell our family of loved ones, how much they mean to us. You can never tell someone enough. Bless you Cindy, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteMay 29th would have been our 40th anniversary but my husband went to heave 3 years ago. I miss him and still love him, so know how you feel. He was my one and only soul mate.
ReplyDeleteDear Cindy, Sending big hugs to you as you remember your special day and the many beautiful memories over the years with your hubby. Your faith is a true testament of love. You are so right about the hugs, love and the special moments we share with our loved ones. We never know what a day may bring~~God Bless you my friend. xo
ReplyDeleteOne never stops missing the loves of their life. five years is just a bit in comparison to how long the two of you were together. We don't hug enough....so I'm giving you one right now!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy...I have never experienced a loss such as this. Yes, I lost my sweet mom & dad several years ago and it was hard but to lose your spouse has to be another thing all together. When I knew that you were my sweet teacup exchange partner I read several of your posts about you losing your husband. My heart goes out to you and pray that the Lord continues to look out over you and your sweet family, giving you peace and comfort...and most of all JOY, even in the toughest moments! Hugs to you, my friend :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! I'm sure your anniversary will always have a deep effect on you. I agree with FlowerLady that it is something to celebrate even given the sadness it brings with it. Your sharing with us is a way of doing that. Sweet comfort to you! And thanks so much for your visit and lovely comment. It's so well appreciated.
ReplyDeleteCindy these are gorgeous pictures of you and Mark. I bet with lots of great memories attached. Hope those memories give you comfort too when you need it most. Loss like yours is so hard. Hugs to you sweet friend.

I'm sorry this is a difficult time for you. I understand completely. Maybe you can start a new tradition on that date that will make you feel closer to him without so much pain. You could plant a tree or have a family get together in honor of the marriage you shared. It might help to turn your feelings into something positive instead of grief.
