Remembering 35

Hello Sweet Friends

Although I have been working very hard
During this past year to
Move forward with my life
And allow the past to rest

Today is just one of those days
That pull on my heart strings
And make me pause to remember

30 years of
Live, Love, Laugh

Today would have been our 35th
Wedding Anniversary
And I miss him as much today
As the day he moved up to heaven

Our favorite saying was
Through it all: FAITH
No matter what we faced
(And it was a lot)
We had Faith to believe
God would see us through
He Did
And...He Still Does

Give your people
Just one more hug
One more kiss
One more time to say I Love You
One more Smile to brighten their day

Today my heart remembers
And is grateful for the years we did have

Blessings Abound

  1. This is news to me! I'm so sorry. I know his memory is with you every single day, but these special dates are sweet times to stop and remember, reflect, and remind others exactly what you have reminded us. The Lord be with you and bless you today.

  3. God bless you, Cindy. I have often said it is a good thing we can't see the future or we would never have the strength to move forward. Memories like this are so precious. xo Diana

  6. May 29th would have been our 40th anniversary but my husband went to heave 3 years ago. I miss him and still love him, so know how you feel. He was my one and only soul mate.

  8. One never stops missing the loves of their life. five years is just a bit in comparison to how long the two of you were together. We don't hug enough....so I'm giving you one right now!

  9. Oh Cindy...I have never experienced a loss such as this. Yes, I lost my sweet mom & dad several years ago and it was hard but to lose your spouse has to be another thing all together. When I knew that you were my sweet teacup exchange partner I read several of your posts about you losing your husband. My heart goes out to you and pray that the Lord continues to look out over you and your sweet family, giving you peace and comfort...and most of all JOY, even in the toughest moments! Hugs to you, my friend :)

  12. I'm sorry this is a difficult time for you. I understand completely. Maybe you can start a new tradition on that date that will make you feel closer to him without so much pain. You could plant a tree or have a family get together in honor of the marriage you shared. It might help to turn your feelings into something positive instead of grief.
